Blake started his career in management at Universal Studios' CityWalk in Hollywood. From here he became the Director of Operations for the Irvine Spectrum Center for nine years in Irvine, CA. Next, Blake served as the General Manager for The Block at Orange / The Outlets at Orange, in Orange, CA another large Orange County retail, entertainment and shopping destination that features hundreds of businesses. Following this, Blake returned to Irvine Company as its Sr. Director of Property Management overseeing a portfolio of retail properties in Irvine and Newport Beach, California for three years before moving to become the General Manager of Irvine Spectrum Center, the position he holds today. As a community leader, he was actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce, serving on its board of directors.
As a life-long Christian Scientist he is active in his branch church, and continues to serve as his branch church representative to the Committee on Publication as well as a chaplain in county institutional committee work.
